Download the spot color template and resize your art board to the finished size of the printed piece. Paper scans are available for download as well – feel free to use them to mock your design on it’s actual paper.

Every screen displays colors differently, so these paper scans probably don’t look 100% accurate to their color on your monitor… If you want to see the paper color exactly, we’ll have to get you samples.

GENERAL FILE GUIDELINES

We love vector graphics but if you really MUST design a beautiful spread in Photoshop please make sure that all raster graphics are at least 300 dpi and then bitmapped before being put into their own layers in your EPS or AI that you submit.

ACCEPTABLE FILE FORMATS
CS4 Illustrator file, EPS, or editable PDF output from our template(s)
(.ai, .eps, .pdf)

-Convert all text/shapes to outlines/curves.
- EMBED all linked graphics.
- Layered files are ideal for Screen Print and Letterpress.
- Trap your art if needed.

COLOR GUIDELINES
Files should be submitted in CMYK. Each color should be on it’s own layer. Each layer should be named the Coated or Uncoated Pantone that is to be printed. Please colorize each layer with the appropriate solid (un)coated Pantone swatch. Speciality (non-PMS colors), like gloss overlays or blind hits should be on their own layer and named appropriately. We prefer these sort of non-color layers to be colorized with 100% magenta.

SIZE GUIDELINES
All files must have 1/8″ bleed on each side. Additionally, keep all text and pertinent information 1/8″ inside of the trim line to ensure that it stays safe.
