A gang run is when multiple designs are printed on the same press sheet. Gang running certain print projects saves time, paper, and money which can really add up with large volume orders. Because this project shares the same color throughout each design and is so large, we decided to print 12-up press sheets with all the designs on them.

From the Designer
"I think the story here is clear. We are outraged. We needed to do something. We were galvanized by the Women's March. We designed these the night after the march and printed them the following day. We felt the urgency and we knew others did too. Things were happening so fast in Washington that this couldn't wait. The first run that we printed - about 500 packs - sold in a week. We donated all the profits to the ACLU. That's when we called in Mama's. We were killing ourselves printing - even after several lovely and talented printers in Philly donated their time and screens to help us - and fulfilling orders all the while neglecting the rest of our business. Our fine friends at Mama's jumped right.
"My favorite part of making these so far was when Anne called me in a panic: "What happens when Trump is impeached?! What will we do with that card?" We laughed. This is the goal - that one by one we can get rid of each card in the pack! It is our hope that there is a future where all of these issues become non-issues and that everyone's voice will be heard. There will always be reasons to write to your legislators. We hope this engagement, this sense of urgency and desire to communicate doesn't fade." - Kate Jensen and Anne Schaefer
