Manhattan, the city so nice that it needs 7 spot colors to do it justice. In the mix on this one is everything from halftones (check out our mustached friend's face), to metallic inks.

Description
From the Designer
Back in 2007 I was an enthusiastic customer of Three Potato Four. Their assortment of mid-century (and earlier) objects was right up my alley, and I loved their thoughtful approach to life/business. Through a strange coincidence, I managed to open up a conversation with them that morphed into a fantastic working partnership that remains to this day one of my favorites. The story of this print emerges from their desire to produce something map-related with me, but different from what we'd seen out there at the time. After a bunch of brainstorming, we arrived at this Manhattan print—which arranges key neighborhoods in map order, but does so subtly. I wanted to make something that people would respond to emotionally, rather than a functional wayfinding document. The success of the print has spawned several more (Brooklyn, London, San Francisco, and Philadelphia…kind of). Hopefully someday I'll find time to make more prints that celebrate my favorite cities.
