"For the event poster I came up with a character that represents both paper and printing. The head on the left is "paper" with the tree, curled paper mustache, and also the look of him has a bit of heritage to it, much like French Paper does. The head and body parts on the right, represents "printing"... with drips of ink and bones that represent the levers on an analog press, and the spots and splotches represent halftones and other printing methods."
"In the center of this character, the "belly" becomes what represents the client and/or designer… who's philosophy is tattooed on him "Print Or Die". The joining of all of these elements into a fun & vibrant character, captures the idea of the theme, "When Our Powers Combine - PRINT MATTERS"." - Nathan Ezra Trimm
