This poster project is part of a larger pro-consent campaign to address misconceptions about sexual violence when it comes to the issue of consent. We really wanted to capture the importance of understanding what consent really is and the ways that rape culture perpetuates the lack of understanding about what consent looks like. Tribe did an amazing job illustrating these themes and underscoring the true ugliness of ignoring consent as an affirmative choice. NVRDC hopes that these posters will encourage healthy discussions about sex and consent. It is important to note that there is help and support for those who have been impacted by sexual violence. Additionally, Men Can Stop Rape is a great resource to learn more about health masculinity and ways that men can help create a culture to combat sexual violence.
