"This map is a collection of all things awesome that make up the continental United States. We love that it has at least one icon that almost anyone can connect with. It was difficult to decide which landmarks to include, and how to incorporate them into the design. For instance, we really wanted to feature Mount Rushmore, but had no idea how to represent such a visually complex monument in a minimal illustration. We also had fun adding in little details that people may not notice right away, like the 50 stars scattered throughout the map to represent each state." - Fell
